The Net’s New Greatest Threat

Posted by:

I really hate being a doomsayer or a whistle-blower, but just out of sheer curiosity I was able to dig out some startling numbers over the past few days.  Over the past ten years internet experts have all been pointing fingers at this, and that, of which would be the cause of the internet’s downfall.

Coming in at number one, was file-sharing (peer to peer networking).  File-sharing can be a danger to the internet’s bandwidth because this involves many users pooling ...

We have done some re-tooling to MyTekWeb, our primary subsidiary.  MyTekWeb was first started oriented to web hosting and data services.  We have moved all data services over to Goldsboro Web Development and all “free service” type programs to MyTekWeb to consolidate the different business models into different sections and companies.   MyTekWeb will run solely from a advertising based business model, which includes any free hosting (non promotional) programs that may be offered in the future while Goldsboro Web Development ...

Website Back Up

Posted by:

We do apologize for the latest downtimes we have experienced. Over the past few days we have experienced catastrophic data-loss on our company server that runs our company websites. Upon trying to retrieve the data, we noticed that our database had been corrupted for quite some time due to a failing raid array.

We do expect that we will have all services back online (with some data-loss) by no later than January 5th, 2010. Fortunately, no client websites were affected by ...
